CodeX Insurance Analyst (CIA) is a specialized tool designed to provide Stanford students with information about their Cardinal Care health insurance policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

-           Stanford email address

-           User preferences

-           Claim Data

2.2 Privacy Mode

You may use CIA without registration. In “Try without Logging in”:

-           No personal information is stored on our servers

-           All data is stored in your local browser

3.1 Account Data

If you create an account, we use your information to:

-           Authenticate your access

-           Save your preferences

-           Provide personalized insurance information

3.2 HIPAA Compliance

Although medical records are not required for CIA usage, we apply HIPAA-level privacy protections to all user data, including:

-           Restricted staff access to user information

4.1 Account Users

-           Data is stored on secure, restricted access servers

-           Regular backups are maintained

-           Access logs are monitored

-           Data remains only in your browser

-           No server-side storage

-           All data is cleared upon clearing local storage
